The tendency to addiction may be due to the fact that alcohol and other psychoactive substances in the brain stimulate these centers and roads, whose action in psychiatric disorders is usually impaired. Stimulants are not the appropriate remedy - lead to an escalation of problems and exacerbates the symptoms of depression.

Type disorders can decide on the type of substance abused. People underestimated, often narcissistic personality are taking cocaine, which gives them a sense of power and confidence.

Drug Abuse released a study conducted on people who abuse cocaine, heroin and alcohol. Compared to healthy subjects, these patients have fewer receptors for dopamine - a hormone responsible for feeling pleasure.

Such studies may be of great importance in tracing the changes that psychoactive substances have on our nervous system. However, to fully understand what the factors are prone to addiction, you should also take into account the impact of the environment on the dependent person.
