Atkins Diet - expert opinion

The rules are based on the Atkins diet to minimize carbohydrate intake, feeding mainly products rich in proteins and fats. According to the Atkins diet forces the body to burn fat. Weight reduction that can be achieved in this way, according to the author, is 2 kg / week.

Three stages of the diet
The first is the introductory phase (2 weeks): carbohydrates is limited to 20 g per day. There should then consume breads, fruits, cereals, lean dairy, sugar, honey, sweets and caffeine. The third step - maintaining the balance - is to adapt the organism to a new diet, so that was present in the life of every permanent. It is the amount of carbohydrates that were coming no weight. They must not be combined with meat, fish and eggs.
Throughout the diet eat 3 main meals and 1-2 snacks. You can drink coffee, tea (unsweetened) and mineral water. For a snack you can eat a salad or cold cuts.

Just like in the diet Dr. Kwasniewski , high risk use of the Atkins diet is to increase the probability of atherosclerosis as a result of the consumption of saturated fats. Equally dangerous is the level of ketone bodies resulting from abnormal fat burning due to deficiency of carbohydrates.

The diet of the proteins and fats excess strain on the kidneys and may lead to gout. Another threat to health are electrolyte imbalance (particularly sodium depletion or potassium).
