DASH Diet

DASH, which stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension, is to stop hypertension through diet. Diet developed, scientists from the National Institute of Heart, Lung and Hematopoietic System in the United States.

It is assumed that after a month of diet reduced pressure DASH about 10mm/Hg.

Basic principles

Food products that can be consumed in the diet DASH divided into eight groups. They can be combined freely. It should be remembered by 5-6mealsduring the day with a value of about 2,000 kcal. Products that should reduce this strong coffee and salt (up to 1 teaspoon per day). What to eat?

Cereal and cereal preparations , about 5-6 servings a day.
One serving: slice of rye bread, grahamka, ½ glasses cooked rice, 3 tablespoons of oatmeal.

One serving: tomato, broccoli, a glass of vegetable juice.

Fruits , 4-5 servings daily, preferably with the skin raw.
Serving Size: medium fruit or fruit juice.

Skinny dairy , 2-3 servings a day.

Marine fish, 2-3 servings a week.
One serving: about 100g cooked or fried fish .

Nuts, seeds, legumes, 4-5 servings per week.
One serving: green peas (about ½ cup), 2 tablespoons of pumpkin seeds or sunflower.
